National Institute of Design (NID) is internationally acclaimed as one of the
finest educational and research institutions for Industrial, Communication,
Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. It is an autonomous institution
under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India
and is recognised by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research,
Government of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.
NID offers professional education programmes at Undergraduate and post Graduate level with five faculty stream and 18 diverse design domains.

GDPD (Graduate Diploma Programme in Design) of 4 years duration for students after 10+2 or equivalentlike AISSCE/ IB/ ISC
PGDPD (Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Design) of 2 ½ yearsduration for graduates from variousdomains specific to each discipline.
15 percent seats in GDPD and PGDPD are reserved for applicants from foreign countries/ SAARC region/ NRIs on supernumerary basis.
